Violent Cop: preshow notes, wikis, clips and trailers

I recently watched this film. It is one of those movies, that if I would have seen this film almost 30 years ago, when it was initially released, I would have had my movie veiwing experiences for movies that would follow permanantley altered. Any cop film, gang film, or ‘introspective’ tortured soul movie, would have been seen through different eyes; eyes that would have gauged similar films to follow with a very high bar.

I will have more to say in my next podacst, where I will be joined (fingers crossed) by two special guests whom I think would be the perfect team to talk to about this wonderful film.

Below are notes, images, wiki’s, clips and trailers for diggin’ into, prior to the podcast, which should be released the weekend of 2/10/18. As usual, if you have any comments or questions, or links to interesting articles and bios, etc. Please add those to the comments section below.

he had lots of budget roles and tv gigs – he went a bit val kilmar and got puffy – probably not a creer worthy of a single ‘madonna’ like name

He Has had a solid carreer in Japanese films working with Shinya Tsukamoto (most notably ‘Vital’) and Takashi Miike (13 Assasins) – working constantly – prob the most employed of the bunch – he is also a time tested utilizer of the thoughtful hand on chin portrait pose
